I installed also the final 2.6.34 (not the drm-intel-next version). This version works fine too. http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v2.6.34-lucid/
Upgrading to the newest intel driver 2.11 and libdrm will not fix this issue.
