I  have the same bug and it happens even I don't suspend or hibernate
(after a regular power on). X starts normally but crashes a few minutes
later with the same error message in Xorg.log (Failed to submit
batchpuffer.) I run Ubuntu 10.04 32 bits (Linux 2.6.32-22.33-generic) on
a Sony Vaio VGN-FE770 with Mobile Intel 945 Express Chipset
