I decided to give the xorg-edgers package a test under 10.04. First I installed all updates, including linux 2.6.32-23-generic. This had no noticable effect on GLBlur, still around 17 fps. Then I followed the instructions on https://launchpad.net/~xorg-edgers/+archive/ppa
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:xorg-edgers/ppa sudo apt-get update I then updated my system again, which reinstalled most (all?) xorg packages. I now get 30.2 fps for GLBlur, load 69.8%, 28 polys. Not quite as good as 9.04 on this computer but quite usable. -- [RC410] Radeon X200m poor graphics performance with KMS+DRI https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/576125 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-ati in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
