I installed kubuntu alpha-2 maveric-desktop-i386.iso, booted with nomodeset in the kernel boot options to get a command line, apt-get upgraded, and apt-get dist-upgraded to get the 2.6.35-7 kernel.
The display is working well. KWin reports that it could not activate Blur, Cover Switch, Desktop Cube, and Wobbly Windows, but other effects are active. gltron's frame rate is over 50 fps.
