Thanks for your bug report. This looks familiar, it was the same issue
with the savage driver. Can you please test the mesa
7.9.0~git20100709+gallium+r300.347c00c4-0ubuntu0tormod packages from
https://launchpad.net/~xorg-edgers/+archive/radeon ? (The PPA is usually
for radeon drivers but I added a fixed unichrome driver to this exact
version.)
