2) - (I think it's related to the Ati driver, not sure about it)
3) After I installed the Ati restricted driver (for Ati 4850) lots of black
dots and especially black stripes started to appear on the screen. I removed
Compiz (which causes other problems anyway) but the glitches continue pop up
here and there. Sometimes they disapper quickly, sometimes it seems like
they're sticked to the desktop, and clicking or moving the mouse over there
doesn't resolve anything. After a few seconds they vanish anyway.
