We've got the same problem here on several corporate computers since Ubuntu 10.04 / firefox 3.6.8 adobe-flashplugin 10.1.82.76-1lucid1
The problem is not only flash hanging but the whole system that stops working (need to hard reboot) When this occurs, gdm takes 100% cpu load. -- Xorg crashed.
