This a continuing unresolved issue of a hardware incompatibility with
Ubuntu on the ASUS P4S800 motherboard which causes total loss of the
mouse and the inability to enter information from the keyboard during
disk installation. In ver. 10.04 an in place upgrade would result in the
system freezing upon reboot, rendering it totally inoperable. You simply
cannot use the latest versions of Ubuntu with this motherboard.
