I've never used the wobbly windows plugin. In my experience the amount of open windows determines the performance problem. No windows and it seems to be working fine, but even 1 window results in a noticeable frame drop. And I'm using 5 desktop all packed with windows and virtual machines causing to drop the performance to a frame a second (or worse). Hoped 10.10 would fix this regression, but it hasn't.
