Public bug reported: Maverick Meerkat updated from Lucid Lynx starts fine (Desktop Effect activated and quick menus) on an old 2004 Acer Aspire 1350 with Athlon XP 2800+ ATI Mobility Radeon 9200 64Mega, then SUDDENLY (5 min/hours) graphic is full of garbage, as you can see here: http://www.microsmeta.com/images/ubuntu10.10impazzito.png

Absolutely no problem with Ubuntu 9.10 or Windows XP on same notebook, so I'm really disapponted! Please tell me what to test/check...
