Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: nvidia-settings
When choosing a display device and setting the Overscan Compensation to
a specific value, it is not saved in the .nvidia-settings-rc file. As a
result, this setting does not persist after a reboot. I have tried
manually adding this option to .nvidia-settings-rc:
0/TVOverScan[DFP-1]=32
This seems to have no effect, however, and the setting is erased the
next time nvidia-settings is run. I am using an LCD display via HDMI as
opposed to TV-Out so this may not even be correct.
Running 10.10 with nvidia-settings 260.19.12-0ubuntu1~xup (from
ubuntu-x-swat PPA).
FYI--I assume this is a dupe of bug #296418.
