More information, when I unplug the the keyboard I regain left button. This is not the same as 636311 as I don't use any of the media buttons or special keys. Simply starting a video (no matter what kind of video, from flash to mkv through VLC to .vob through totem) makes left click unusable as long as my keyboard is plugged in
