I got a text based boot up and login prompt after installing Maverick on an Acer Aspire 5742z, the live session worked well (video wise). Every time I try to start x it simply fails. It works in low graphics mode. I tried Natty Narwhal pre Alpha and got the same, live session works, actual install doesn't.
