I have fond memories of how horrible Hardy was during the -i810/-intel
transition and Jaunty during the KMS/UXA/GEM/DRI2 transition.

User experience matters and we aren't doing much to create one if we throw
up our hands and say "**** it, we'll handle it next dev cycle" whenever a
serious regression occurs

We have a month to coordinate with (read as: harass) the Release Drivers to
get freeze exemptions and settle on a viable solution. Guys, you need to be
tough and courageous about this.
