u没有"完全"简体中文界面的，特别地，"ubuntu"本身没有正式中文翻译（有奔头？），不过你肯定见不到"press Ctrl Alt Del to start"。 u支持很多设备，包括不标准（专有驱动）的设备、陈旧淘汰的windows下找不到驱动的古董设备，但对不少新上市高端豪华炫酷时尚个人电子设备可能还没有良好的驱动支持。因此，建议你保留你的windows分区过渡，支持的驱动慢慢就会跟上了（2年？）。
