Could you try to compare the lsmod output for the both live CDs to see what the
modules that Mythbuntu have inserted and Ubuntu doesn't?
And then try to remove the extra modules that Mythbuntu inserted to too if the
problem be solved, then you can figure out which module infect the wireless
driver.
