Mark Rijckenberg proposed the following answer: Hi Rob, Thanks for your input, but those 2 "solved" threads are about a different model and make of laptop, which uses a different Broadcom wireless chipset and a different wired ethernet adapter chipset. The solution there cannot be applied here. The issue on the thread here is a very specific problem where the wired and wireless chipset both use the ssb kernel module, which causes conflicts and where only the wired or wireless can work one at a time, and not work both at the same time..
