New question #76621 on Ubuntu: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/76621
In 9.04 I get a52 CRC errors when I try to playback DTS CD wav files. DTS CDs have a sampling rate of 44100Hz while DTS DVDs are at 48000Hz. 9.04 can playback DTS DVDs (48000Hz) but not DTS CDs (44100Hz). 8.10 was able to playback both perfectly. The command to play them is: mplayer -ao alsa:device=iec958 -ac hwdts,hwac3, -afm hwdts,hwac3, filename.wav In DTS CDs (44100Hz) I get: Playing 11. Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody.wav. Audio file file format detected. ========================================================================== Forced audio codec: hwdts Opening audio decoder: [hwac3] AC3/DTS pass-through S/PDIF No accelerated IMDCT transform found hwac3: switched to AC3, 160000 bps, 48000 Hz a52: CRC check failed! Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody.wav: RIFF (little-endian) data, WAVE audio, Microsoft PCM, 16 bit, stereo 44100 Hz For some reason, mplayer seems that cannot recognise the file has a rate of 44100Hz and tries to play it back at 48000Hz, which produces CRC errors.
