Can you do the following:
1) Open a terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal)
2) Type the following command and press <Enter>:
sudo lshw -C display
3) Note that lshw is the lowercase of LSHW.
4) Type your password and press <Enter> when prompted. You password will not
display on screen, so type carefully.
5) Copy and Paste the output here.
