New question #76703 on Ubuntu:

1. some characters are scrambled sometimes
2. in text console, some characters are missing sometimes
3. when moving the cursor above an icon in the panel, the annotation appears,
but
sometimes the icon itself disappears
4. sometimes tiny black dots appear
OS: Ubuntu 9.04 i686
HW: Acer TravelMate 260 with Intel 82830 CGC
