Please try this
Open a terminal and type:
sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
and substitute all recurrence of gutsy with hardy save and exit then
update your system.
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get autoremove
