Tim posted a new comment: Managed to fix it as a result of (slightly incorrect) advice in this thread: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1147434 Having first made a copy called live.original, I've edited /usr/share /initramfs-tools/hooks/live thus: r...@scally:/usr/share/initramfs-tools/hooks# diff live{,.original} 150c150 < copy_exec /sbin/udevadm /bin --- > copy_exec /usr/bin/udevinfo /bin Which seems to have done the trick.
