Question #76938 on Ubuntu changed: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/76938
Tom proposed the following answer: Also you might be able to do much the same through using Synaptic Package Manager but it will give more of a hint how to fully take advantage of this sort of thing. Go up to the top taskbar and click on System - Administration - Synaptic Package Manager it asks for your normal user password, not your SuperUser/Root one. Click on Settings - Repositories and then the 2 tabs "Ubuntu Software" and "Third Party Software" should have interesting things to tick or untick to help with using cd's for installing programs ;) I hope this helps! Good luck and regards from Tom :) -- You received this question notification because you are a member of UF Unanswered Posts Team, which is an answer contact for Ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuforums-unanswered Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuforums-unanswered More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
