Question #76964 on Ubuntu changed: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/76964
Tom proposed the following answer: In Gimp when you do "Save As ..." you can change the format of the picture just by changing the ending, for example by deleting ".jpg" from the end and making it ".gif" or even just adding ".gif" converts the picture to gif format. It took me a while to realise how easy it was as Windows tends to make things over-complex. Here's a guide about some other things that might helps, particularly how to install new packages, such as the ones listed previously https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SwitchingToUbuntu/FromWindows Good luck and regards from Tom :) -- You received this question notification because you are a member of UF Unanswered Posts Team, which is an answer contact for Ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuforums-unanswered Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuforums-unanswered More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
