Question #77079 on Ubuntu changed: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/77079
midnightflash proposed the following answer: The problem: There is no real help. (Unless Matrox gives an update. The last Update was 2½ years ago.) Read the following: http://forum.tuxx-home.at/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=748 The last post there are about Debian-5-Testing which is in the same xorg-state as Ubuntu-8.04-Hardy. That are the last versions running. But there should be a way to get bigger resolutions than 800x600 with the Ubuntu-Built-In-MGA-driver. Randr should do the job. @ rroades Run the following please from the terminal: (better copy and paste) sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg Then restart the machine. After that give us the output of: cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log -- You received this question notification because you are a member of UF Unanswered Posts Team, which is an answer contact for Ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuforums-unanswered Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuforums-unanswered More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
