MSI model #k8mm-v system board with AMD athlon64 socket754 cpu 1 gig. Dell 184pin ddr400 mem. ATI Radeon 9550 256mb graphics card and soundblaster live model #ct4830 Was able to suspend in ver. 8.10 but am having trouble with 8.04lts Got error message that computer failed to suspend. also display`s odd color bands at upper and lower desktop panels. The reason I want to suspend is that I have had big problems with display crashes after it passes the ubuntu splash screen and locks up with an unreadable screen! The only way I knew to fix was to reinstall ubuntu! I can send email now but I could not then.
