Question #77254 on Ubuntu changed: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/77254
Tom proposed the following answer: Microsoft Customer Support might be helpful, i've hardly ever had any satisfaction from them so i never really consider the possibility of bothering to ask them. http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/en-US/default.mspx http://www.microsoft.com/atwork/default.aspx http://www.microsoft.com/en/us/default.aspx They might be able to send you a Vista Cd, it's unclear exactly who is legal required to provide you with a Vista Cd but it's worth asking them how you're supposed to reinstall Vista without one. It'd be good to have a product key or licence number to give them, perhaps it's on a label stuck onto your machines case, they're usually quite shiny, sparkly and some holograms on the border. On flat desktop cases they're sometimes on the underside of the case, on tower cases they are usually on one side. I think i would just tell them that Vista had slowed down so much that i really felt like i needed to reinstall and start again with it. Perhaps mention that i would consider using linux if i couldn't find a way to re-install Vista but i would steer clear of saying that i'd already installed it because they will see that as an excuse to blame someone else and to attempt to coerce you into re-buying a new version of one of their products. Good luck and regards from Tom :) -- You received this question notification because you are a member of UF Unanswered Posts Team, which is an answer contact for Ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuforums-unanswered Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuforums-unanswered More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
