My Oxford dictionary came with a cdrom containing an electronic version of the same. I am using ubuntu jaunty. there's a linux folder in the cdrom n within that is a file named "installation.sh" Here's my console output, any help would be greatly appreciated. sand...@tornado:/media/cdrom0/linux$ sudo ./installation.sh Verifying archive integrity... All good. Uncompressing .......................... /home/sandeep/.setup10948: error while loading shared libraries: libgtk-1.2.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Couldn't load 'atal' The setup program seems to have failed on x86/glibc-2.1 Please contact Loki Technical Support at [email protected] The program returned an error code (1) As per the readme file, i could install it in linux as well... Here's the README file: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Read Before You Install System Requirements: To install and use the Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary Compass CD-ROM, you need: - Windows 98SE/ME/XP 350 Mhz 128 MB RAM - Macintosh OX 10.2 or higher 500 Mhz 128 MB RAM - Redhat Linux 9 or higher 350 Mhz 128 MB RAM Minimum installation of the software requires 110 MB available on hard disk. Macintosh users must perform a complete installation of the software requiring 550 MB available on the hard disk. Installation: This product is copy protected by SecuROM. The first time you run the program you must have the original CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive. It is recommended that you turn off any antivirus software that you may be running during installation.
