Question #77860 on gksu in ubuntu changed: https://answers.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gksu/+question/77860
MMlosh posted a new comment: Sorry, this is not synaptic bug. Shell output of "gksu synaptic": (6x the same) GConf Error: Failed to contact configuration server; some possible causes are that you need to enable TCP/IP networking for ORBit, or you have stale NFS locks due to a system crash. See http://www.gnome.org/projects/gconf/ for information. (Details - 1: Failed to get connection to session: Failed to execute dbus-launch to autolaunch D-Bus session) => gksu was probably unable to read it's config file and that it should behave as sudo. It was cause by missing "dbus-launch", after installing package "dbus-x11" it works now without problems. Should this be a bug? (package "gksu" does not depend on "dbus") OR I just can't install "gnome-desktop", because I don't have Gnome/KDE? -- You received this question notification because you are a member of UF Unanswered Posts Team, which is an answer contact for Ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuforums-unanswered Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuforums-unanswered More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
