Tony Pursell proposed the following answer: Peter All you need to do is 1. Highlight the cells you want to drag. They should have a light coloured background. 2. Move the mouse pointer into the highlighted area, press the left button and drag. 3. Release the left button to drop. It works every time for me. Maybe you are not highlighting the area before you try to drag. BTW you shouldn't really be asking this against such an old question. You should ask it in a new question.
