New question #78223 on xorg in ubuntu:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+question/78223

I just bought an Acer X183HB monitor to use with my Dell Vostro A90 (business
version of Mini 9) running Ubuntu 9.04.

Upon plugging it in, Ubuntu recognized the monitor. I sent the output to it via
going to the "Display" applet and turning it on. I logged out and back in again
as the applet recommended. Upon logging back in, the Acer was at 1024x768, and
the netbook's display was at 800x600 (two black bars on either side of the
screen). The Acer's resolution should be 1366x768, and the Vostro's should be
1024x600. Rebooting did not help, and I messed up my xorg.conf file while
trying to get it to work.

I know how to get the xorg.conf file back in shape. My question is, how to I
get this display to work with my Vostro A90 under Ubuntu 9.04?
