Some months later...
Hi people,
I've done a full install now i have time, and found that it did the exact same
thing (put screen resolution waaaay too big so most of the "screen" is off the
side of my real screen, then make the screen turn to mush when i try and change
it in system-->preferences-->display).
I tried all the fixes suggested here, and they did nothing. any further
suggestions?
