Description changed to: Hey, Thank you for your attention. I have trouble with one of my hard drives not being seen by Ubuntu. The problem seems to be version dependent: I have two hard drives. On one of them I have both XP and Ubuntu installed, the other one is just for storage, in form NTFS. Now the storage-drive is available in XP and on Ubuntu 8.04. Meanwhile Ubuntu 9.04, which I wish to install, should I find a solution to my problem, and Ubuntu 8.10 do not seem to recognize the second hard drive at all, neither in sudo lshw or fdisk -l or gparted. I have tried attacking the problem in Ubuntu forums before, without any change. I hope there is someone here with the expertise to kindly share their knowledge a little. I would appreciate any input. The following was all gathered using the 9.04 live cd. Sorry if there is too much junk, but I try to tell you all that was asked in earlier discussions in other places on the same subject.
