New question #78693 on nautilus in ubuntu:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+question/78693

It was 107 degrees yesterday and there was a power surge in my neighborhood.
Although I have a surge-suppressor, my computer (Ubuntu 8.0.4) shut down. When
I re-launched, my wallpaper was going off the screen to the right, my desktop
icons were missing, and the display/fonts are now very large on the desktop, in
Mozilla, and in my programs. What happened, should I be concerned, and how do I
fix it? I have a flat screen 22" monitor. Thanks!
