New question #78724 on Ubuntu:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/78724

I have no problem connecting to my network its just a speed issue i have been
reading tons of different articles on a ton of different forums im using the
b43-fwcutter drivers right now and like i said i can connect but only at 1Mb/s
sometimes it jumps around to higher amounts but at most 11Mb/s and doesnt stay
there for long. I've tried different things such as putting wireless down and
setting rate manually with iwconfig i've tried 54Mb/s and auto. iwlist scan
shows all available speeds i dont know if thats important but anyways im
relatively new to linux any help would be greatly appreciated
