actionparsnip posted a new comment: You could download the .tar.gz from the mozilla site and use that. The tar.gz is a binary and you will need to uninstall firefox-3.5 which you installed using the repo and symlink /usr/bin/firefox-3.5 to wherever you store the app. I personally think it will achieve the same end but if you have a few minutes to spare it doesn't hurt to try. Using this method will also not update the program using automatic updates, as the app is not installed using the repository, so the repository will not update the app. I personally suggest you stick with the shiretoko version which will upgrade gracefully. "Shiretoko" IS still firefox.
