Yes, if you've logged a bug-report then it will get triaged and
eventually a developer will look into it and write either a patch or a
full update. they may need help with trying to re-produce the error at
their end but they will ask you for further info if needed. Helping
with triaging can be good fun and is a good way to help the wider
community, it's not always appreciated of course lol
Have you tried other packages such as VNC? (sorry i don't know much about all
this networking stuff)
