Question #79110 on Ubuntu changed:

    Status: Open => Answered

Sam proposed the following answer:
Take a look in gconf-editor
http://library.gnome.org/users/gconf-editor/2.22/getting-started.html.en

Path is
/apps/gnome-power-manager/

To list all settings recursive in a terminal:
gconftool --recursive-list /apps/gnome-power-manager

To unset all settings recursive:
gconftool --recursive-unset /apps/gnome-power-manager

Of course you can do this also with just one string.
For more information see manpage:
man gconftool-2
