Hi
Thanks a lot for your quick reply. And thanks for pointing me to the right
direction.
Yes as you said, the site is very clear and I am not unfamiliar with testing
distributions. Let me show you the issue I encountered.
The link on top of the page points to the correct download page.
We are now testing Ubuntu GNOME Trusty Tahr Daily Builds
The issue I encountered is here:
Start Testing
Ubuntu GNOME Trusty Tahr Alpha 1 has been released
Ubuntu GNOME Trusty Tahr Alpha 2 has been released
Coming Soon Beta 1 is approaching
▶ Please help us to test: Ubuntu GNOME Trusty Tahr Daily Build
See: Trusty Tahr Release Schedule
The “please help us to test: Ubuntu GNOME Trusty Tahr Daily build”, points
here: http://ubuntugnome.org/ubuntu-gnome-trusty-tahr-14-04-alpha-1/ instead of
here http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-gnome/daily-live/current/
Thanks again for your great help. I downloaded the image and I am now
installing it in a few virtual machines, based on XenServer, and VMware
esxi/workstation. Will later on try to install it on a couple of spare laptops.
Best Regards
ilvipero

Dear Sirs
Hi :)
Thank you for your email :)
I am getting involved with ubuntu-gnome testing.
That is great to know but you have sent your email to the wrong
department/sub-team :D but no worries, we shall help as I am the leader of both
Communications and Testing (QA) - also Wiki - and just to make sure we are on
the same page, you need to send such questions to the QA Team:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuGNOME/ContactUs
As I have seen on your webpage, there are specific links to follow to download
ubuntu-gnome alpha releases (so far alpha1 and alpha2 are released). Below
that, there is another entry with written: ▶ Please help us to test: Ubuntu
GNOME Trusty Tahr Daily Build
However, following that link, I am forwarded to Alpha1, not Alpha2, or a
specific repository for daily builds.
The answer to your very question is this page:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuGNOME/Testing
It has all the needed information :)
In fact, your answer is the very first note/line on that page:
We are now testing Ubuntu GNOME Trusty Tahr Daily Builds
This will tell everyone of what exactly are we suppose to test :)
Also, there is: "▶" which means we're at this stage.
I'm CC'ing Ubuntu GNOME QA Sub-Team in this reply so that in case someone else
has the very same question, he/she will be notified as well :)
I believe this creates a bit of confusion. I thought that link should point to
the latest release. Could you please clarify, and eventually correct the link
to point the correct images to use? Please keep in mind I am not criticizing or
complaining, I am just trying to help. :)
Definitely, we highly welcome, value and appreciate your feedback. In fact, we
do ask our users to always send such feedback so that in case there is any
error or something, we fix it right away.
I did review the page (even though I'm the one who made it and I'm sure I have
checked it many times before) and I didn't see anything broken to fix.
If you also note, I'm using colored banners to make things more clear.
▶ Please help us to test: Ubuntu GNOME Trusty Tahr Daily Build
This is actually very clear IMHO.
In short:
We should always test the daily build and those who are interested about
testing, need to follow Ubuntu GNOME QA Mailing List for more information,
tips, etc.
Thanks a lot in advance. And thanks for the splendid work creating Ubuntu Gnome!
Thank you for contacting us. It shows a great interest for Ubuntu GNOME and
we're so glad to receive such emails. Please, keep them coming :)
