Whiteboard changed:
  [amjjawad]
Ubuntu GNOME is still a young project yet very fast growing one. Ubuntu GNOME
Sub-Teams have been created in August and September, 2013 and that was in the
middle of Saucy Salamander development cycle. We had not enough time nor
manpower for Translation group for Ubuntu GNOME and sadly, that was the case as
well for Trusty Tahr cycle.

Ubuntu GNOME Team is planning to start working on this area with the
next cycle and that will be after April, 2014 (after releasing Trusty
  Tahr). However:

1- If there are interested people
  2 - Serious people
  3- Long Term Contributors
  4- a Driver/Team Leader --> DONE

Who would like to make it happen for Trusty Tahr Cycle, please let us
  know.

  [Driver/Team Leader - Requirements]
  1- Active.
  2- Serious.
  3- Have a commitment for a Long Term Help/Support.
  4- Proven Record/Previous Experience/Current Experience with Translations.
5- Able to build his group or team of translators.
6- A Team Player who communicate with everyone (his/her team and Ubuntu GNOME
as a whole community).
7- Motivated and eager to learn and improve.

These are the requirements to start the actual work for Ubuntu GNOME
  Translation.

  Please, always refer to: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Translations

[fitoschido] QUESTION: What Ubuntu GNOME-specific software do we have, in
order for this team to actually be needed? I can only think of the installer
slideshow, which is translated by the existing Ubuntu-l10n-* teams. GNOME
software from upstream should be translated at GNOME, we shouldn't reinvent the
wheel.

[aldomann] I agree with fitoschido, how can we really help into making this?
I see this Team more as a place to explain how to contribute via Ubuntu teams
or directly via GNOME-l10n.
I think it's crucial to know what are our plans and what is our real power in
the direct localisation of Ubuntu GNOME.

[Janis-Marks Gailis] We will redirect translators if they want to translate
GNOME, to GNOME l10n team; but we will focus on Ubuntu GNOME, so we have to
translate the marketing stuff, the docs, and, if possible, the website. If we
can't translate our website, we have to work closely with LoCoTeams so they can
host, for example, in France, ubuntu-gnome.fr, that our team has translated.
If we want the LoCoTeams to spread the world about Ubuntu Gnome, we have to
make their work as easy as possible, so they have only to take a Domain, and a
hosting.

[amjjawad] So, the plan will be as follows:
1- Contributions and Contributors should be within Ubuntu GNOME Marketing
and Communications Team - https://launchpad.net/~ubuntugnome-comms and those
who are interested, need to join that team.

2- Ubuntu GNOME Translation Group to work closely with Ubuntu LoCo Teams
and use their available resources such as Wiki Pages.

3- No need to create any 'new' Sub-Team for Ubuntu GNOME Translation
  Group.

4- For now, Ubuntu GNOME Translation Group will not be involved in
Software Translation but rather Ubuntu GNOME Wiki Pages Translations and
  other resources.

5- Have a meeting (IRC or Hangout:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuGNOME/Meetings ) to discuss all the above
  and/or any other suggestion.

[amjjawad] this has been idle for quite sometime. Any progress? please update
this blueprint once there is any kind of updates :) thank you!

[Janis-Marks Gailis] Currently, everyone who wants to help must translate
wiki pages from http://wiki.ubuntu.com to its LoCoTeams' Wiki (example:
http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org).
If you have any question, feel free to ask!

[amjjawad] Hi, could you please send an email to the general mailing
list so that everyone is informed? the team will not get any
notification by updating this blueprint since it is assigned to you :)

  Thank you!

+ [amjjawad] For VV Cycle, Ubuntu GNOME Translations will be under Ubuntu
+ GNOME Marketing and further details will be discussed on the mailing
+ list and/or a weekly meeting. We are currently discussing who will lead
+ this team. There are a lot of activities within the scope of this team.
+ The release notes of Ubuntu GNOME 14.10 has been translated to many
+ languages. Also, the Ubuntu GNOME Wiki Area are being translated as
+ well. The idea of having a Translation Team has been approved and we
+ just need some final touches. I shall close this blueprint :)
+
+ Thank you!
