Hello All,
After speaking with Ali over the weekend about the future of the Ubuntu
GNOME project, I would like to share the outcome. 2015 is by far going to
be one of the most exciting and fast paced years for Ubuntu GNOME. The
Marketing and Communications Team will be pushed to its limits and be
challenged to do a lot more then we currently do.

In order for us to succeed, we will need to all work together as a team. It
will be impossible for only one or two of us. As of this writing, we have
18 members of this team and I will need all of your help to make sure that
we are able to meet the new challenges below. We will be working to
increase collaboration between teams.

=Newsletters=
We will start publishing short, weekly newsletters comprising of:
1) What the Ubuntu GNOME (as a system) is doing
2) What the Ubuntu GNOME (as a team) is doing
3) Other things that the community would be interested in knowing
4) A General Tip for new users starting out
This puts a unique challenge onto our plate of coming up with fresh content
on a weekly basis. I would like to start doing these on Wednesday and will
be working on a draft later this week.

=Website Redesign=
This has been spoken about before but I am happy to report that we will be
moving full steam ahead to bring this into fruition. We will be working
closely with the Artwork Team to fast-track the website. I am currently
going through all of the requirements discussed with the Ubuntu GNOME
Leadership Board over the past year in order to create a single vision of
what the site will be. I will have more information about this within the
next few days.

=Blog Management=
The new website will feature a dedicated blog. I would like the comms team
to take a leadership role in managing some of this content. It does not
mean that we need to write all of the content but we should manage the
content.

=Reports (Social Media)=
We will be looking to grow our social media following on Facebook, Google
Plus and Twitter. In order to set and track goals, we will be tracking our
Social Media Statistics on the Wiki.

=Community Outreach Team=
There are thousands of forums on the internet dedicated to Linux
Distributions. It would be great to see a bit more representation from the
Ubuntu GNOME Team on these forums. We have many members here who speak
countless languages and can therefore be on more localized forums. The
community outreach team should try to assist users who need help and if
they cannot assist, get the user to ask their questions on our IRC or
Mailing Lists. The Community Outreach Team should also help to re-share
content on their own social media sites if possible.

Looking for thoughts, feedback, etc.
