Furthermore the "ubuntu-gnome-14.04-desktop-i386.iso" as downloaded has installed Ubuntu 13.10 (according to the Details `settings applet`)!! Thank you for wasting my time.
I can't blame you (QA) for the huge disappointment of finding that `Ubuntu GNOME` is simply Unity-in-disguise with a similarly useless UI. But do pass it on. Bye-bye Ubuntu.
