I know kansasnoob  looked at adding Gnome-shell to LXDE .....

I personally think this should be included .....

Reason lightweight will work on most systems - should also please many people 
as panels are easily available .....
 and a good fallback option ..... should Gnome-shell have any problems .....

and both will run Independant of one another ....

( so we should never really be left with a non working desktop and a
means of recovery ...... )

If its possible to do of course ...... just my thoughts at this moment
in time.

  The idea of UGR was to have Ubuntu with Gnome 3 INSTEAD OF Unity. Why
  are we adding a session option for Unity?
