@Julien GNOME's wallpapers are included. The Ubuntu wallpapers are also included if you do not manually remove them. We use the default GDM 3 theme. GNOME does not have a plymouth boot theme: Ubuntu does, and we have replaced it with ours. The reason we do this is branding - we want some name recognition.
@Erick Yep. We are moving to integrate with Ubuntu more closely in Oneiric, and provide some GNOME 3 parts that are missing/ incomplete (Cantarell, shell extensions, etc).
