Hi, I'm new here. I have just installed Kubuntu 8.10 as an addition to
my old standby Mandriva 2008. Each seems to have certain advantages
that are lacking in the other. Anyway, the kubuntu recognized my
scanner as an Epson Perfection 1640 flatbed scanner; I was not given
the Epson perfection 1640SU Photo scanner option. Sane does make this
option available. Does anyone here know how to enable this option with
ubuntu?
