I am trying to install a bootable copy of ubuntu 8.10 on a 4 G SD card. The installation is slow, but seems to go without a hitch. At the finish I am told that the installation has been successful and that I can now boot with the flash drive. When I boot with the flash drive I get the Ubuntu screen with the animated slider bouncing back and forth for about 1.5 minutes, the slider stops for about 1 minute and then completes it's way across the screen. It then goes to a black screen, to a gray screen, to a black screen with some dialog. This screen blinks on and off a few times like it is trying to do something and then gives the following error message:
Ubunt is running in low graphics mode The following error was encountered. You may have to update your configuration to solve them. (EE) GARTinit: unable to open /dev/agpart (no such file or directory) (EE) [drm] drm open failed. (EE) intel (0): [dri] DRIScreen init failed. Disabling DRI. (EE) intel (0): Failed to allocate framebuffer. Is your video ram set too low? (EE) intel (0): Couldn't allocate video memory.
