I have T-Mobile Total Internet, and have been using a Windows laptop with ActiveSync to get online when no other Internet connection was available. I am thinking about getting a netbook, and could save money if one with Ubuntu would do the job.
When I connect the cell phone to a desktop computer, using 8.10 with a USB cable, and no other connection present, it connects, but I am unable to surf the Web with this connection.
