I don't know what you mean by "Ubuntu compatible"; but I think what
you are asking for is a "Video Capture card that work with linux".
Video capture is mainly handled in linux kernel using Video4Linux2
(V4L2).  There are thousands of compatible cards (eg: bt848, bt878 or
bttv chipset in general).  See <http://linux.bytesex.org/v4l2/
drivers.html> (and NO, its not an obscene site!).
In general most cards with widely available chipsets will work.
