The contacts database was synced, at least that's what the logs say.
Can you please open the U1 preferences applet (System->Preferences->Ubuntu One) and on the Services tab, disable 'Broadcast Messages Archive? That way, the gwibber_* databases won't get synced, and so we can check if that was the problem.
