Matching subscriptions: Ubuntu Studio Bugs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1022938 Title: Silently overwrites ~/.fonts.conf Status in font-manager package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: See description here: http://code.google.com/p/font-manager/issues/detail?id=38 <<I expect font manager to NOT touch the .fonts.conf file if it already exists or at least put its content into the suggested .config /font-manager/local.conf file. If in doubt, it should prompt me for actions. <<Font manger instead silently overwrites the file without making any backup or the like. My local settings are thus lost now and I have to once again look into this to reproduce them.>> Font Manager overwrites ~/.fonts.conf, moves it to ~/.config/font-manager/local.conf, but then proceeds to overwrite *that* file as well. Any custom settings you have may be lost. Very dangerous. Version 0.5.7.
